Jacob’s Disease: case report

ABSTRACT Jacob’s disease or osteochondroma is a rare that presents as pseudo-joint between the coronoid process of mandible and posterior surface zygomatic bone. The present case report an 11-year-old female patient with maximum mouth opening 2mm. When evaluating computed tomography three-dimensional reconstruction, mushroom-shaped increase in on left side was observed, intimately connected to bone (inferoposterior region body zygoma), which suggests pseudoarticulation. Surgical removal tumor mass performed under general anesthesia via intraoral access called coronoidectomy. Histopathological, presence hyaline cartilage condition pathognomonic for Disease. reports are still literature, mushroom shape histopathological confirmation due cartilage.
